The Finger Of God

Behind life's greatest victory therein is the finger of God. You cannot see His acts until you know His will, God goes where He is celebrated, He goes where He is welcome, He goes where He is invited, you can't know God's will until you know His way and you will never know His way until you yield totally to His dominion.

Never Give Up On Your Dream

Life has no meaning unless it is lived on purpose. "If you can dream it, you can do it. " Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse." Walt Disney Joseph went from the pit to the palace, to prison and then finally he stands as the Prime Minister of Egypt. One would have to admit that Joseph had ample reason to give up, throw in the towel, become a victim and allow his dream to die. I am sure thankful he did not give up halfway; the entire nation of Israel survived because Joseph refused to give up his God-dream. Joseph was afforded an opportunity to stand before Pharaoh and interpret his dream putting Joseph in a powerful position to lead and rule over not only his brothers who sold him but nations. I remember preparing this sermon for church on dreams and was so very inspired by the life of Walt Disney. Today thousands of people enjoy a place of fun, joy, music, and laughter. It is a place where the oldest person can become a child again ...

Created To Be Great

Greatness in life has everything to do with your attitude, Most modern cars have cruise control. Cruise control was invented as a way to maintain the same speed whether uphill or down. Many people use it on long-distance drives as a way to manage constant speed. However, you won’t find the cruise control feature on motorsport racing vehicles. Why? They have been designed for speed, acceleration, performance and greatness.  Satan wants to lull the hearts of men to cruise control and get you to just coast through life. He doesn’t want you to wake up and realize that God has created you to be great. God did not create men to be average, with no drive and no ambition. Instead, he created men to be great for His kingdom.  Let’s look at Genesis 12:1-2. In verse 1, God calls Abram to obey His word and to submit to His authority. In verse 2, God promises greatness tied to the obedience in verse 1. In other words, Abram would only experience the greatness in verse 2 if he obeyed the co...

Listen To God

Life has no bearings until one's direction is known. Samuel never know purpose until they was a divine utterance.  Samuel was one of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that his first assignment from God was to listen for God’s voice (see 1 Sam. 3:8-10). Samuel’s story shows us that there’s a difference between active listening and passive hearing. Hearing is something we do with our ears. If our hearing is normal, we can’t help hearing sounds traveling within a certain range. Listening, however, involves the mind. Genuine listening is active. It involves putting the mind in gear to hear everything that’s said as if it has meaning to the listener. That’s how God calls us to listen to Him: actively. He wants our full and undivided attention. Let’s take a look at what I believe are the 10 key aspects of listening actively: 1. Expectantly — If we’re going to listen actively, we must come before the Lord expectantly. We must antic...

The Will Of God

Step I: Often time we hear repeatedly that the Lord has a plan for us—and it’s good. We’re instructed to seek it, embrace it, and live it. We’re even told it’s the key to our future. But what is it? Even though God’s will sounds like something we need to know, the whole idea of it often stirs up more questions than answers. Whatever your view of the will of God, it can seem grand and unreachable, can’t it? After my few years in ministry, I’ve heard enough people talk about how frustrated they are in their Christian lives that I’m fully persuaded there’s one ultimate reason: They don’t understand the nature of the will of God, nor do they know how to find it. And if you don’t understand these two things, you may feel insecure and directionless in your walk with God.  Perhaps you want to honor your Savior and stay on track with what He envisions for your life. But that’s not usually what drives people to seek God’s will. More often than not, it’s questions about the future,...

Who You Are In Christ

Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. Philippians 1:3‭-‬6 MSG What God Wants Us to Hear the Most; You aren’t the mistakes you’ve made. You aren’t the labels that have been put on you. And you aren’t the lies the Enemy has tried to sell you. You are who God says you are. You are a child of God. You are the apple of God’s eye. You are sought after. You are more than a conqueror. You are a new creation in Christ. You are the righteousness of Christ. All our identity issues are fundamental misunderstandin...

Turning Points Through Whispering Spots

Jacob woke up from his sleep. He said, “ God is in this place—truly. And I didn’t even know it!” He was terrified. He whispered in awe, “Incredible. Wonderful. Holy. This is God’s House. This is the Gate of Heaven.” Genesis 28:16‭-‬17 MSG They is always a whisper from The Holy Spirit. This can also be called a turning points.  When I look through the Bible, I see whispering spots everywhere. For Jacob, it was Bethel. For Moses, it was a burning bush. For Samuel, it was the tabernacle at Shiloh. For David, it was the cave of Adullam. For Elijah, it was Mount Carmel. For Daniel, it was an upstairs window facing Jerusalem. For Jonah, it was the belly of a whale. When I survey Scripture, I see God showing up in strange places, at strange times, in strange ways. And I don’t think anything has changed. God still turns appointments into divine appointments. He still uploads desires, opens doors, and inspires dreams. He still speaks through promptings and people a...

A Hiding Place For Me

God ’s my island hideaway, keeps danger far from the shore, throws garlands of hosannas around my neck. Psalm 32:7 MSG Have you ever tried to quiet a loud room? Attempting to yell above the crowd usually doesn’t work, does it? It’s far more effective to shush the crowd with a shhh. That’s the method God employs. His whisper quiets us, calms us, stills us. That’s why chronic noise may be the greatest impediment to our spiritual growth. When our lives get loud, with noise filling every frequency, we lose our sense of being. We run the risk of turning into human doings rather than human beings. And when our schedules get busy, we lose our sense of balance, which is a function of the inner ear. Can I go out on a limb? Your life is too loud. Your schedule is too busy. That’s how and why and when we forget that God is God. And it takes very little to distract us. The solution? Stillness. Or more specifically, His still small voice. Silence is anything but passive waiting. ...

The Cure To Challenges Of Life.

The problem is not just when God is quiet, the challenge is the hearing problem. Is it possible that what we perceive to be relational, emotional, and spiritual problems are actually hearing problems—ears that have been deafened to the voice of God? And it’s that inability to hear His voice that causes us to lose our voice and lose our way. Let me make a bold statement: Learning how to hear the voice of God is the solution to a thousand problems! It’s also the key to discovering our destiny and fulfilling our potential. His voice is love. His voice is power. His voice is healing. His voice is wisdom. His voice is joy. His voice is peace. His voice is solution. His voice is the cure to lack of direction and frustration. If your life is off-key, maybe it’s because you’ve been deafened by the negative self-talk that doesn’t let God get a Word in edgewise! Maybe you’ve listened to the voice of criticism so long you can’t believe anything else about yourself. Or maybe it...

Come Closer To Jesus

Come Closer God has an outside voice, and He’s not afraid to use it. But when God wants to be heard, when what He has to say is too important to miss, He often speaks in a whisper just above the absolute threshold of hearing.  My dictionary defines whisper as “speaking very softly using one’s breath without one’s vocal cords.” The use of breath instead of vocal cords is significant. Isn’t that how God created Adam? He whispered into the dust and named it Adam.  Adam was once a whisper. So were you. So was everything else. Whispering is typically employed for the sake of secrecy. No form of communication is more intimate.  So why does God so often speak in whispers? When someone speaks in a whisper, you have to get very close to hear. In fact, you have to put your ear near the person’s mouth. We lean toward a whisper, and that’s what God wants. The goal of hearing the heavenly Father’s voice isn’t just hearing His voice; it’s intimacy with Him. He speaks ...

Keys To Supernatural Breakthrough

I have seen servants become lords over there masters.  I have seen servants riding on horses while their master becomes beggars on the street.  I have seen the richest amongst the rich becomes the poorest among the poor.  I have seen rulers becomes followers and followers become commanders.  I have seen wealth transfer via divine dealings and supernatural orchestrations. Take a look at how David described himself in an act of reverence to God: In 1 Samuel 2:7-8 [7]The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. [8]He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them. Also in Psalms 113:7 [7]He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; God had a plan before you were conceived, and His plan is for...
